Welcome to Outer Banks Pier and Fishing Center

Fishing Unlimited’s 600 foot Outer Banks Fishing Pier is well known for its great fishing and family atmosphere. Located in South Nags Head, it is the fishing pier nearest to Oregon Inlet. The pier is lighted and is open 24 hours a day.

In the pier house you will find a fully stocked tackle shop with all your fishing needs, an outdoor oceanfront grill with nightly entertainment and 10 cent shrimp from 4-6 p.m. daily, video games for the kids as well as rental rods and reels. Daily, weekly and weekend passes are available. And, we DO offer Senior Citizens’ Discounts.

Boat & Captain:

Rent a Boat

We offer Rentals for fishing, crabbing or sightseeing cruises on Roanoke Sound. The boats can be rented half-day or full-day. Our customers can choose from 16' outboards with 15 hp motors (maximum capacity - 4 persons), 23' pontoon boats with 50 horsepower Yamaha outboard motors (maximum capacity - 10 persons) and 26' pontoon boats equipped with 115HP outboards (maximum capacity - 15 persons).

Charters:

Fishing Unlimited is now offering charter services for fishing, crabbing, sightseeing, or dolphin watching around Oregon Inlet and the adjacent sounds. Our new boat is a 2008 21’ Carolina Skiff/center console, with a 115 hp Johnson E/tec outboard. The boat is equipped with a GPS, depthfinder,VHS,a live well, and all safety equipment. The casting platforms on the bow and stern are perfect for light tackle and fly-casting for trout, redfish, stripers, and more. The hull is built to fish in some of the hard to get areas around the marshes, islands, and flats around Oregon Inlet. All bait and tackle is furnished. Fishing Licenses are provided. We recommend that you bring a hat, sunglasses, sunscreen, and don’t forget the camera. A cooler is on the boat for your food and drinks. Your guide will be Capt. Mike Swindell. Capt. Mike's first job as a teenager was at Fishing Unlimited, working with the rental boats. Mike has been charter fishing for the past 10 years. He is seasoned in his trade by some of the best captains on the East Coast. Last year, Capt. Mike returned to Fishing Unlimited as our sound guide and used this experience to produce some great catches. He looks forward to making your day fun-filled and successful. Whether it be casting artificial, drifting for flounder, bottom fishing, crabbing with the kids or sightseeing, Capt. Mike will do all he can to make your trip a memorable one.
